Priorities & Read Status

Every bookmark has a priority and a read state. Together they tell you what to read next.

The four levels

Level Left border on the card Badge
Urgent Red A red "Urgent" badge
High Orange An orange "High" badge
Normal (the default) None, or blue while unread No badge
Low Gray A gray "Low" badge

Setting a priority

  • When saving: choose a level in the priority menu next to Save. It goes back to Normal after each save.
  • Later: open the bookmark's ⋮ menu, choose Set priority, and pick a level. The current level has a ✓.

Bulk imports apply one priority to every imported link (see Import, Export & Bulk Actions).

Filtering and sorting by priority

In Filters:

  • The Priority: row shows All, Urgent, High, Normal or Low bookmarks.
  • The Sort: row orders the list Newest first (the default) or By priority: Urgent, then High, Normal and Low, newest first within each level.

Read and unread

New bookmarks are unread. Each card has a button to change that: Mark as read (blue) on an unread bookmark, Mark as unread (gray) on a read one. Opening the link doesn't change it; you decide when you're done with a bookmark.

The Filter: row in Filters shows All, Unread or Read bookmarks.

How a card shows both

A Normal bookmark has a blue left border while it's unread and no border once it's read. Urgent, High and Low bookmarks always show their priority's color instead, so on those cards the button tells you the read state: Mark as read means it's still unread.

Share links show priority borders and badges, but not read state.
